Rylands Building

Rylands Building began life as a textile warehouse in the early 1900’s which then became Paulden’s department store and then finally Debenhams before it’s closure in 2021.

Rylands Building is a grade II listed building of significant importance situated in Manchester City Centre. The building required full perimeter and interior scaffolding to facilitate extensive repairs.

It is having a new 3 storey glass extension on the roof and the project will take up to 3 years to complete

We used system scaffolding to speed up the erect stage and for uninterrupted access around the perimeter, and the project also had 2 large advertising banners which our company to the client

The project was complicated and we had to factor in working nights and closure of the Metro Link transport system due to its close proximity to the building

Value £3.5m
